Finding the right fabric is a long journey. If it is too thin, it loses structure. If it is too thick, it adds unnecessary weight. Our goal is organic cotton that feels soft and light while remaining durable, all under the requirements of GOTS certification.
To meet these standards, we attended numerous textile fairs and searched for suitable suppliers. We traveled by public transport to visit factories in different countries. Some were hidden in narrow alleys, others in remote locations, and a few on the outskirts of cities. When on-site visits were not possible, we created lists online and contacted potential partners.
This process clarified our standards and strengthened the principles behind our choices. In the end, we found the perfect fabric in Portugal.
